Bear
Bear is looking for an experienced owner who can help build his confidence. He needs a quiet home with a private garden where he can relax if he feels overwhelmed. Bear would like an adult only home where he will be the only pet.
Bear is a lovely older gentleman who is one of the staff favourites at the Home. He is friendly with everyone he meets and gives you the loveliest welcome with a waggy tail and wiggly bum. He is affectionate and, like a big cuddly bear, just loves to snuggle up beside you on the couch and get lots of fussing. Age is just a number in Bear’s mind and he does not let it slow him down! He can still be quite bouncy at times but he is playful and loves running around our paddocks with his toys. He loves learning new things and playing enrichment games, particularly when food is involved and is even partial to a healthy snack like carrots!
Due to a past experience, Bear can feel anxious on his walks and could become overwhelmed, so his new owners need to be patient and understanding people who have the time to work on his confidence.
He is a truly fantastic boy, and there is no doubt that he will make a wonderful companion for the right owner.
During his stay, Bear has been assessed by an independent breed assessor, who deemed that he is not a currently banned breed.
