Sevro is looking for an experienced owner who have had nervous dogs before and can continue working on his socialisation. He would prefer access to a garden so he can work on basic training and will require company all day. He is looking to be the only pet though might be able to live with older, dog savvy teenagers.

Sevro is a lovely boy who takes a little time to open his heart. He can be unsure of new people at first and prefers to get to know them at his own pace, so he is looking for a patient and understanding owner who will allow him to build trust gradually. The quickest way to Sevro’s heart is through treats, and his love of food can be a great aid for helping him make new friends.

Sadly, Sevro was not in the best condition when he arrived with us, and as a result he can have some conflicted feelings around food. He can become overly excited, and snatch treats from your hand, so he would benefit from an owner who is committed to helping him learn calmer manners and reassuring him that food will always be available.

Once Sevro knows and trusts you, his true personality begins to shine. He is full of energy, loves a squeaky toy, and is always ready for a new task whether it be physical or mental. After he has burned off some energy, he is more than happy to settle down for cuddles and will show just how affectionate and loving he can be.
