Ivy is looking for an experienced owner who have had nervous dogs before and can work on her socialisation. She would like to be kept company all day whilst she settles in and access to her own private garden, so she has a safe space to call her own. She is looking to be the only pet in an adult only home where there are no visiting children.

Ivy is a sweet-natured girl looking for a patient and understanding owner who is committed to helping her build confidence. New people can be quite scary for her, so she will need several visits to get to know her new family before she is ready to go home. Although she is nervous initially, she is eager to please and enjoys food-based enrichment activities, which are a great way to help her build trust with new people.

Once Ivy feels safe, her wonderful personality truly shines through. She is affectionate, devoted to the people she knows well, and forms strong bonds with those she trusts. She loves chasing her toys, has a wonderfully goofy side, and is full of energy. She would be an ideal companion for someone who enjoys activities such as hill walking.

During her stay with us, Ivy was assessed by an independent breed assessor, who confirmed that she is not a banned breed. She is simply a sensitive girl who needs time, patience, and understanding. In return, she will reward her new family with loyalty and endless love.
