Ivy is looking for an experienced owner who have had nervous dogs before and can work on her socialisation. She would like to be kept company all day whilst she settles in and access to her own private garden, so she has a space to call her own. She is looking to be the only pet in an adult only home.

Ivy is a sweet girl who needs a very understanding owner who are committed to building her confidence. She does take a bit of time warming up to new faces as new people are scary for her, particularly men, so she will need a sensible owner who will take things very gradually with her. She does want to please and does like enrichment activities that involve food which will help with her confidence building and making new friends. Given how worried she is around unfamiliar people, she cannot be placed in a home where there are children, including visiting.

Once she has built that trust with you, she really lets her fun, loving personality shine- She is devoted to her favourite people and affectionate. She loves running around after her toys, is daft and full of energy and may really enjoy going hill walking. For the right person who understand her worries, she will make a lovely companion.

During her stay, Ivy has been assessed by an independent breed assessor who deemed that she is not a banned breed.
