FAQs

I've already done your Dog First Aid course, is Cat First Aid much different?

Yes. Whilst there are some similarities in first aid procedures for dogs and cats, they have differences in their anatomy and physiology which impact the first aid treatments they receive. We cover ailments particular to cats, as well as tips on how to safely handle and administer first aid to kitties with big personalities!

Can I bring my cat with me?

As much as we’d love to meet them, please do not bring your cat! If you do, we won’t be able to permit you to the course. Don’t worry though, we’ll provide dummies for you to practice on.

Is the Cat First Aid course SQA accredited?

No. This in-person, in-depth Cat First Aid course is the first of its kind in the UK and not yet accredited by the SQA.

Will there be a real cat in the room? Can I visit the cats on site during/after the course?

There won’t be a cat in the room, and unfortunately, you’ll be unable to visit our cats on-site. We all love kitty cuddles but this is important to reduce unnecessary stress for our cats.

Is lunch provided?

Tea and coffee will be available throughout the day, but please bring your own lunch and snacks as there are limited options nearby for purchasing food.

I have accessibility issues, will I be able to complete the course?

Yes! We’re able to make adjustments where required to accommodate all attendees – please inform us at the time of booking if you may require an adjustment.
