Elmo is looking for an experienced owner who can work on his socialisation. He would love his own private garden, so he has space to call his own. He would like to be the only pet though may be able to live with older, dog savvy teenagers.

Elmo is a quirky little character with a big personality who knows what he does and doesn't like. While his adorable looks tend to attract plenty of attention, Elmo can be wary of unfamiliar people and feels uncomfortable if someone tries to make friends too quickly. He is looking for a patient and understanding owner who will be his voice, respect his boundaries, and give him the time he needs to build confidence and trust at his own pace. He does not appreciate the company of other dogs and will be happiest in a home where he can enjoy his own space.

Underneath his worries lies a wonderfully loyal and affectionate companion. He loves nothing more than curling up beside his favourite people for a cosy cuddle on the sofa or snoozing away in a comfy bed nearby. As an older boy, he doesn’t require endless amounts of exercise and is looking for a home that enjoys life's gentler pace. He still loves a play with his toys and leisurely walks where he can take his time investigating all the interesting smells along the way.

Elmo's coat will need regular grooming in order to keep it in good condition so any new owner will need to be mindful of the extra financial cost this will bring.

Elmo does have some health issues that won’t be covered by insurance. More information will be discussed with successful applicants.
