Paddy is looking for an active owner who had had nervous dogs before and are committed to showing him that the world is not such a scary place. He will need access to his own private garden so he has a space to decompress if he feels too overwhelmed to go for a walk. He may suit living with dog savvy high school aged children and possibly a confident dog pending successful introductions.

Paddy is a bit of a sensitive boy who doesn’t appear to have experienced much of the world and so finds things quite overwhelming. New people can be a bit scary for him, but he is friendly and just needs a little time to warm up to you. He needs a very patient, understanding owner who have plenty of time on their hands to give him the support and encouragement he needs in order to better his social skills. He can make doggy friends and does have the potential to live with one, but he doesn’t quite understand how to interact with them so any dog he could live with will need to be calm and confident.

Despite his anxieties, once he knows you he is incredibly affectionate and loves a snuggle. He is still very much your busy spaniel and will need an outlet to burn off his energy- whether that be introducing scent work or taking him somewhere he can chase after his tennis ball. He has heaps of potential to make a wonderful companion for someone who will allow him the time to adjust at his own pace.

Paddy has had veterinary treatment for multiple ailments. More information will be discussed with successful applicants.
