Rocky is looking for an owner who will be fully committed to working on all of his basic training and he will require access to his own garden to aid with this. He will need to be kept company all day in the beginning so his leaving hours can be gradually built up. He is looking to be the only pet though may be able to live with older dog savvy children who won’t be frightened of his boisterous nature.

Rocky is the definition of fun, excitement and exuberance! He is an extremely friendly boy who enjoys being around people, but he does have little sense of boundaries and can be very boisterous. He’s full of enthusiasm and is a keen learner so he requires a committed owner who will not only work on his basic training, but give him an outlet to burn off his energy both mentally and physically- whether that’s hiking, running, scent work or even agility.

Rocky can make doggy friends though does become frustrated quite easily and is very full on with them so, whilst he can continue having doggy friends out and about, it would be best for him to be the only pet in the home. He is still very much a work in progress, but with the right person he has huge potential at making an incredibly rewarding companion.

Rocky has been doing some extra training with the Paws for Progress team in their rescue dog training programme at HMYOI Polmont.
