Layla is looking for a quiet home with an owner who have experience with nervous dogs. She will need to be kept company all day and is looking to be the only pet but could live with older teenagers.
Layla is the sweetest of girls who can be incredibly shy of new people to begin with so she needs an understanding owner who will take things slow with her and are prepared to meet her a few times before she goes home. Her new owner must be willing to work on her confidence building around people and other dogs at a pace she is comfortable with, so she doesn’t become overwhelmed. She would be best suited to a quiet, predictable home where she is given the time to decompress and settle into her new surroundings.
Once she gets to know you, her loving and playful side shines and she is incredibly loyal to those she knows best. She adores a snuggle with her favourite people up on the couch or on your lap though when she has formed that bond, she struggles being left behind so she does require company all day until she learns it’s okay to be left.
Our vet has discovered that Layla has a luxating patella. More information will be discussed with successful applicants.
