Barry is a sweet-natured boy who flourishes once he gets to know and trust you. He can be a little unsure when meeting new people, so he is looking for a patient and understanding owner who will allow him to settle in at his own pace without overwhelming him with too much attention. Barry will most likely be happy as an indoor cat so would appreciate having plenty of hiding places and safe spaces around the home where he can retreat if he needs some quiet time. As he is not keen on being handled too much, he would be best suited to an adult-only home with people who understand and respect his boundaries.

The quickest way to Barry's heart is through his stomach, as he absolutely loves his food and is always happy to accept a tasty treat! He is not the cuddliest of boys, but he does enjoy the occasional gentle snuggle into your hand and then he'll take himself away for a well-earned snooze.
