Edinburgh has no shortage of fantastic dog-friendly cafes, here are some of our favourites.

Bonnie Barista

This cosy cafe has three Edinburgh locations at Balgreen, Bruntsfield and New Town where they serve sweet treats, sandwiches and all your favourite hot drinks!

They welcome well-behaved pups and may even offer your furry friend a treat if they’re really good.

This is the perfect spot to warm yourself up after a wintery dog walk.

Sip and Bark

Friends of Edinburgh Dog and Cat Home, Sip and Bark are a firm doggy favourite.

This Stockbridge brunch bar serves sweet and savoury breakfast dishes all day. Whether you’re in the mood for a classic hot filled roll or eggs benny with a twist, there’s something for everyone.

They even have a full doggy menu with dog-safe snacks and drinks so you can enjoy a glass of wine with your best fluffy friend.

Artisan Roast

For the coffee lovers out there, this cafe and roastery has a few Edinburgh locations in Bruntsfield, Leith Walk and Stockbridge.

Serving speciality coffees, food and baked goods, you’ll want to cosy in with your pup and a flat white all afternoon.

Books n Cup

Stepping into this Edinburgh cafe is like stepping into the pages of your favourite fantasy novel. With book-lined walls and deep leather seats, you’ll never want to leave!

Enjoy seasonal drinks like the popular pumpkin spiced chai or maple matcha and settle in with a good book beside your best dog friend.

They have locations in Stockbridge and Tollcross.

Twelve Triangles

Twelve Triangles is a scratch bakery specialising in sourdoughs, breads and pastries, as well as fantastic coffees.

They have a number of locations across Edinburgh including, Brunswick, Duke Street, Easter Road, Portobello, Morningside, Melrose, Stockbridge and Dalry.

Some locations are takeaway only or seasonal outdoor seating so make sure to check before heading along. All locations are dog friendly.

Check out their seasonal bakes as well as signature favourites – you can’t go wrong!

Dobbies

This may seem like an outlier on our cosy cafe list, but Dobbies cafe has got Truffle’s paw of approval.

You and your pup will love sniffing around all the garden plants and goodies before heading to the restaurant to enjoy a hot meal, baked goods or even a festive afternoon tea!
