Thank you for choosing to fundraise for Edinburgh Dog and Cat Home! With your support, together we can continue to be there for the dogs, cats and people who need us.

How to fundraise for the Home 

Step 1: Let us know you’re fundraising for us. Get in touch by emailing fundraising@edch.org.uk

Step 2: Set up your fundraising page on Facebook or Justgiving, or download your sponsor form here.

Step 3: Plan and organise your event 

Step 4: Host the event and have fun!  

Step 5: Send photos, tag on socials, keep in touch 

Step 6: Send over the money you’ve raised for dogs and cats in need 

Fundraising FAQs

How do I set up a fundraising page?

There are a few easy ways to fundraise online for the Home.

JustGiving is a digital fundraising platform that helps you collect donations from friends and family. It’s quick and easy to set up a page, and what you raise will come directly to Edinburgh Dog and Cat Home.

Visit JustGiving to set up your page and follow the instructions to start fundraising.

Alternatively, you can set up fundraisers via social media and share it with your friends and family to collect their donations and reach your goal.

How do I send you the money I’ve raised

There are few options for you to send your fundraising across to us. Please see below and pick the one most convenient to you.

  1. Online – you can donate via our form here.
  • If you do use this method please send an email to fundraising@edch.org.uk notifying us of: Amount donated, date of the transfer, your name and address or the details of the person you are supporting/sponsoring, along with the event of activity you are taking part in. We will need this information to ensure that you are credited in our records with the amount raised.
  1. By telephone – Call our Fundraising team on 0131 669 5331 and pay in your funds over the phone
  2. By post – you can send your donation (cheque only. Please DO NOT send cash in the post) to: Edinburgh Dog and Cat Home, 26 Seafield Road East, Edinburgh, EH15 1EH.

Please make your cheque payable to “Edinburgh Dog and Cat Home”. Remember to include your sponsorship forms too so that we can claim relevant Gift Aid.

  • 4. By bank transfer- If you do wish to transfer your funds raised via BACS, please get in touch with us at fundraising@edch.org.uk so we can supply you with bank details and a unique reference to note.
  • If you have any queries at all, please do not hesitate to contact us. Once again thank you for your valued support.

Cold Dip Challenge
Date: 16 Nov 2024
Join us for our pawsome Cold Dip Challenge this November and help raise crucial funds for pets in need. Dip 5, 10 or 14 days over two weeks and help keep more cats and dogs in loving homes.

Falkirk Wheel Abseil
Date: 14 Mar 2025
Feel on top of the world and abseil off the iconic Falkirk Wheel to support Edinburgh Dog and Cat Home. Abseil 100ft off the world’s first, and only, rotating boat lift, and raise crucial funds for cats and dogs in need. You’ll enjoy spectacular views from the top of the wheel and an adrenaline rush as you abseil down.
