Juno's story: A dream come true
Juno was covered in flea dirt, suffering from an eye ulcer, missing her front teeth and underweight. Despite these uncomfortable conditions, she was still affectionate and loved the company of people.
As Juno recovered, her adventurous nature started to shine through. We knew she would thrive in a home with plenty of attention, affection and freedom to explore outdoors.
When Amy saw Juno’s profile, she applied to rehome her immediately.
‘I had never been so excited when she popped up, I didn’t even tell my husband, I applied straight away!’
‘Originally we wanted a dog, but we decided to rehome a cat as they’re a little more independent – one of my friends joked that we should get a maine coon and that’s what’s happened!’
Juno is a dream come true for Amy’s son, especially.
‘My youngest has wanted a cat his whole life. He loves dressing up as cats and loves Cats the musical. Juno loves him to bits too, we often find her lounging on his bed, she’ll wake him up in the morning for breakfast.’
Juno settled in really quickly to her new home. Within a day she was stretching out on the windowsill, and before long her strange little quirks started to show.
‘Juno is a really weird hunter, twice she has brough packets of crisps up to our bed and opened them there!’
Juno is good at communicating what she wants. Amy tells us that if they’re late to serve her dinner for any reason, she’ll drag food items like crumpets or a packet of tortilla wraps over to let them know.
‘Recently, she came in from being outside with a whole unopened packet of salt and vinegar crisps, I’ve no idea where she got them from. Maybe she was bringing them back as a gift for the kids!’
‘She’s so perfect, she just wants to be part of it all’
Juno’s new family are absolutely besotted with her. This lucky girl is living her dream with the freedom to explore where she likes and plenty of snuggles when she gets home.
