Fundraising Drive Leads To Generous Donation

A very kind supporter, Mr Brian Baird, has been busy raising funds for the Home through a series of popular events held at the Leith Dockers Club. With the help of Danny Williams and John Higgins, Mr Baird has put on regular events including dominoes evenings and a charity night in December, all in aid of the Edinburgh Dog and Cat Home.

£1,350 was raised over 2022 through Mr Baird’s hard work and generosity, and was presented to the Home in a cheque presentation on Monday 31 January.

Ella Wilson, Legacy and Individual Giving Manager, said:

“On behalf of everyone at Edinburgh Dog and Cat Home, four legs and two, I’d like to say a huge thanks to Mr Baird and his friends for all their hard work in fundraising for the Home. They’ve pulled out all the stops to achieve this incredible fundraising total, it will make a real difference to pets and their owners in need across the city and beyond.”

Funds raised by this group will be used to care for hundreds of dogs and cats that pass through the Home each year, as well as supporting it’s outreach services that aims to keep pets in loving homes.
