Community Day 2026
A huge thank you to everyone who came along to another fabulous Community Day at Edinburgh Dog and Cat Home.
On the 6th September we welcomed nearly 1000 members of our community and their pups to the Home for our annual celebration.
As always, the highlight for us was meeting so many of your beautiful pets, and reuniting with old friends. Our Public Fundraising Manager, Sophie, said: ‘I’ve never seen so many dogs in one place in my life!’
We loved seeing all your fantastic entries to the dog competitions, especially the best sausage catch, best dressed and best doggy duo.
And not to forget our lovely cats, check out the winners and runners up of the online cat competitions here.
A big thanks to all the stall holders who brought along their wares and to food vendors, Pizza Geeks, House of Tapas, and Toy Story Ices for keeping us all fed!
