How Businesses Are Warming Hearts This Winter
The appeal aims to help raise funds for our heating costs throughout winter as it will cost the home £22,000 to ensure every dog and cat in our care stays warm, cosy, and cared for.
This year, we’ve already seen incredible generosity from local businesses stepping up to support the appeal. Their direct donations and fundraising efforts have not only raised vital funds but also brought their teams and communities together in meaningful ways.
Here are some of the success stories so far:
Signature Pub Group’s Festive Doggy Coffee Morning
Signature Pub Group’s The Fountain Bar took the lead with a heart-warming Festive Doggy Coffee Morning on 30th November. The event featured festive photography, a raffle, delicious bakes for humans and furry friends, and even a prize for the best-dressed pooch! The effort raised hundreds of pounds for our Winter Appeal and inspired a sense of festive cheer. They’re continuing their support with a food drive throughout December.
Northwood Edinburgh’s Creative Fundraising
Meanwhile, Northwood Edinburgh are adding a touch of festive flair to their fundraising. They’ve launched a competition to guess the number of dog treats in a box, with a Superhero Podgie up for grabs as the prize. They’ve also planned a Christmas Jumper Day for their staff as well as a bake sale, combining festive fun with fundraising!
These businesses are proof that creative ideas and community spirit can make a big difference.
How Your Business Can Help
We’d love to see more businesses help support animals in our care. Here are some ways your team can get involved:
Spread the Word
Share our appeal on your social media channels to help us reach new audiences and inspire others to take part.
Make a Business Donation
Whether big or small, every contribution directly supports the animals in our care. For example:
- £185 keeps our animals warm for a day.
- £1,300 provides a week of warmth.
- £5,500 covers an entire month.
Host a Pet Food Drive
Collect essential pet food for our Pet Food Banks to help pets in need across the community.
Organise a Fundraiser
From bake sales to quiz nights, there are endless possibilities to rally your colleagues for a great cause. Our Corporate Pack is packed with ideas to get you started.
By getting involved, your business can have a direct impact on animals like Mary, a stray who came to us just in time to give birth to six puppies. Thanks to supporters, Mary and her pups found loving homes and a brighter future.
Let’s Work Together
The kindness and creativity of businesses like Signature Pub Group and Northwood Edinburgh remind us of the incredible impact that community support can have.
