Seamus

Seamus has been matched to several applicants so we are unable to accept any new interest for him.

Seamus is looking for an active and understanding owner who can help him gain some confidence. He may be able to live with dog savvy high school aged children but wouldn’t be able to live with a cat.

Seamus is an affectionate boy when around people that he knows, and he does enjoy having a cuddle but can also be independent so isn’t too needy. He does needs to gain confidence around new people though and will need a patient owner who can help him work on his socialisation skills so he can gain some more confidence. He can also be wary in the vet or when getting his eyes cleaned, so needs some understanding and patience to overcome this. Seamus has a lot of energy and would love an active owner who will take him hill walking or running and, as he enjoys chasing a tennis ball, he may also enjoy flyball. Although he has made a lot of doggy friends whilst here and enjoys social walks with them, he doesn’t appreciate boisterous dogs, and likes spending time with quieter dogs who let him do his own thing, so he may prefer being the only dog in his new home. He will need regular brushing and trips to the groomers to keep his coat in top condition and his owners must be prepared for the cost of this.
