Leonardo

Leonardo is looking for someone who has owned a dog before and can keep him company for at least part of the day, especially whilst he settles in. He may be able to live with older teenagers and must be the only pet.

Leonardo can be a shy boy when faced with new people and situations, but with a little patience and understanding he comes around quickly. The key to Leonardo’s heart is food, so any tasty treat you have to offer will help him make friends. He has a laid back, quiet nature and can be affectionate at times with those he knows.

He is a typical lurcher who has zoomies around the paddocks chasing a tennis ball, but then is quite content and happy to snooze the day away in a comfy bed.

Leonardo picks and chooses his doggy friends and is happy to walk alongside calm dogs but he can be vocal towards some, so his new owner will need to manage his introductions with other dogs. He is easily distracted by treats though, so this is always a good motivator for him to continue walking, even when he is feeling uncomfortable.
