Frequently Asked Questions and Terms and Conditions

How do I enter?
Visit edch.org.uk/virtualdogcatshow and press the “Enter Now” button and follow the prompts.

How much does it cost?
Entry is £3 per category.

Is the show open to all pets?
Our show is open to all dogs and cats. Photos must be your own dog or cat or you must have permission to enter them.

Who can enter?
Anyone can enter. We welcome entries from all around the world! Please read the T&C’s below carefully for more information.

If I have two pets can I enter them both?
Yes. There is no limit to how many times participants can enter a photo of their pet. Entering the same photo more than once will not give you a better chance of winning. You can enter different photos of the same pet in different categories.

What are the categories?

  1. Funniest Photo
Animals can do things that make us laugh until our sides split. Show us your pet doing something hilarious, making a silly face or just being their goofy self.
  2. Bonniest Lass / Handsome Lad
Your favourite photo of your pet. Female (Bonniest Lass) or male (Handsome Lad) category, any breed, any age, any activity.
  3. Sleeping beauty
Your favourite moment of your pet fast asleep.
  4. Best Buds
Show us your best friends best friend! (2 or more animals must be included in the photo)
  5. Then vs Now
Show us your first and most recent picture of your furry friend
  6. Golden Oldie
Whether their fur is turning grey or they still have bursts of inner puppy/kitten, we love to celebrate our seniors! Open to 7+ year olds. Please include their age.
  7. Gone But Not Forgotten (Prize can be donated to a friend) Alternative prize of digital memory tree leaf
This special category is for your beloved furry friend who have crossed the rainbow bridge. If your picture wins our top prize, the Home will donate a Virtual Memory Leaf in their honour.
  8. Pawfect Rescue
We think all our rescue animals are Pawfect so let see yours! Rescued or rehomed pets from any charity, organisation or place can be entered.
  9. Pretty Eyes
Does your pet have the best eyes? Whether they use them to beg for another breakfast or to communicate their love, we want to see them.
  10. Pet in action
Any photo that captures your pet in full motion. Jumping, running, scratching, swimming – the more movement the merrier.

Who is judging the show and when?
Marc ‘The Vet’ Abraham OBE will choose and announce the winners for each category through a video on our Facebook event page. You can join us on our Facebook event page on the 19 March at 6pm or you can watch the video back on our website from Monday 21 March.

There was a problem with my entry, how can I fix it?
