Is the show open to all pets?
Our show is open to all dogs and cats, not just rescues. You must either own the dog or cat or have permission to enter them. No other animal should be entered.

Who is judging the show and when?
On 23 June we will have a live judging with Animal Champion ambassador, celebrity vet and animal welfare campaigner, Marc Abraham, who will choose the winner for each category from a pool of preselected photos. Please see our terms and conditions for more information.
You can join us by following the event on Facebook and watch live or re-watch whenever you fancy.
What are the prizes?
The winner of each category will receive a personalised virtual certificate. The winners will also be entered into a lucky dip to win a personalised dog or cat portrait biscuit box courtesy of Bonnie Biscuits.

Does Gift Aid apply to my entry?
Due to this being a competition, entries cannot claim Gift Aid. All additional donations will be eligible for Gift Aid if you are a resident of the UK and pay UK taxes.
Where does the money raised go?
With no regular government funding, the Home relies on the generosity of our wonderful supporters to help provide the best care for our animals. We rescue, reunite, and rehome the lost, stray and abandoned dogs and cats of Edinburgh and the Lothians. The Home costs around £2 million to run per year and we simply could not keep our gates open without your help.
Every donation, big and small, makes a difference to the dogs and cats in our care.
