Does Gift Aid apply to my entry?
Due to this being a competition, entries cannot claim Gift Aid. All additional donations will be eligible for Gift Aid if you are a resident of the UK and pay UK taxes.

Where does the money raised go?
With no regular government funding, the Home relies on the generosity of our wonderful supporters to help provide the best care for our animals. We rescue, reunite, and rehome the lost, stray and abandoned dogs and cats of Edinburgh and the Lothians. The Home costs around £2 million to run per year and we simply could not keep our gates open without your help.

Every donation, big and small, makes a difference to the dogs and cats in our care.

  • £8 can buy an enrichment aid to help engage the animals in our care and reduce stress
  • £12 can help with vital preventative medicine to keep our animals healthy
  • £18.83 could purchase a specialist training aid to help our Dog Trainer prepare a dog for their forever home
  • £20 could provide two hours of one-to-one care, training and enrichment for a dog or cat
  • £150 could provide food for a cat for a whole year
  • £300 could provide food for one dog for an entire year
