Max

Max is looking for an experienced owner who is willing to continue his training with the help of a recommended professional trainer. He needs an adult only home where he won’t be around children. He needs a quiet home, away from the city, which has a private and secure garden.
Max is a sweet and happy boy who has bags of potential and would be a very rewarding pet for a committed owner who is prepared to continue to work on his training. He is still very boisterous, and can be very nervous around new people and tends to be vocal until he gets to know them, so he does require a dedicated person who can commit the time needed to working on these issues. Max is very smart though, and is very motivated by food rewards, so he is always keen to please. When he is with people that he trusts, Max is affectionate and has a lot of love to share. He has lots of energy and does require high levels of exercise, and would enjoy running or hill walking. When Max’s training has improved, we think he would benefit by doing an activity like agility or flyball. Max is very playful and loves having fun with his toys or using his nose during enrichment activities. He also likes running around with his doggy friends in our dog park, and could potentially live with a tolerant dog if introductions go well.
Max will require several visits before going to a new home, giving him time to build a bond with his new owners. Visits will also allow new owners to spend time with our training team so they can work on Max’s training together.
