Aslan is looking for an owner who have had shy dogs before and can work on his social skills around new people. He may be able to live with dog savvy high school aged children but is looking to be the only pet.

Aslan is a quiet, sensitive soul who can be frightened by anything unexpected, and he can be wary of people he doesn’t know so he needs a very understanding owner who can help build his confidence and make him see that things aren’t so scary. He loves a tasty treat, cheese in particular, which helps him make friends and he is partial to a good bum scratch by his favourite people. Once he does know you, his sassy side does come out, and he can be a diva! He thinks the attention should always be on him and he will happily perch himself beside you on the couch for cuddles.

Aslan’s coat wasn’t in the best condition when he arrived, and he did have to be shaved to make him comfortable. Any new owner will need to be prepared for the commitment and financial costs they will face in order to keep his coat in top condition.
