Alfie

Alfie is looking for an experienced collie owner who understand the quirks this breed can have. He will require access to his own private garden where he can enjoy the outdoors if he feels overwhelmed. Alfie needs to be the only pet but may be able to live with older, dog savvy teenagers.
Alfie is a shy boy who has had an unsettled time and, as a result, can be unsure of new people and may need a few visits to build up a good bond first before he goes home. Once familiar with you, he will show his sweet, affectionate and cuddly side and will happily sit beside you for some fussing. He is an active lad who likes to be kept busy, and he would happily chase his tennis ball for hours on end. He would thoroughly enjoy flyball or would make the ideal running partner for an active owner. He does have some collie quirks so requires an experienced owner who understand this and will not allow him to become too overwhelmed by his environment and would be best suited to a home away from the city centre. Alfie picks and chooses which dogs he likes but he can have dog walking buddies in the future if introduced properly.
Alfie has had some veterinary treatment whilst in our care. He is a boy who can be worried when he has to visit the vet and will need an understanding owner who will build his confidence and continue positive experiences. More information will be discussed with successful applicants.
