Get your paws down to the prom
Sunday 4 September
12pm – 4pm
Re-homing an animal is among the most rewarding things you can do and on Sunday 4 September we’re hosting a special event to explain why and help more of the furry friends in our care get a second chance at the forever home they deserve.
First and foremost, ‘Paws on the Prom’ is going to be a great day out for all the family; in fact, we think it’s going to be pawsome!
As well as a choice of nearly 20 exhibitors offering tips on everything from feeding and exercise, to training and play; our expert team will be on hand to answer questions and help you decide whether re-homing is right for you.
A tasty choice of refreshments will be available to enjoy while you learn more about our work and how you can help and if that’s not enough to tickle your fancy, our famous mascot Hamish will be putting in a special guest-appearance!
‘Paws on the Prom’ is also an important chance for us to say thank you to our supporters from across Edinburgh and beyond – without you we simply wouldn’t be here and we’ll never take that for granted!
Our Chief Executive Howard and the rest of the team are already looking forward to the event.
“We want to use this chance to encourage more people to seriously think about re-homing but it’s not going to be ‘preachy’; Paws on the Prom will be great fun.
“If you already own a pet or are thinking about owning one, there’ll be lots of useful information available from exhibitors and our own expert team.
“There are so many benefits to re-homing but if you asked me to pick just one; I’d say the gratitude and love you get in return is one of the most rewarding things you can experience.”
