Our Staff

Our organisation benefits from skills and experience of our staff, comprised of long-serving kennel veterans and enthusiastic new talent. Our small team is united by the love and dedication towards the animals in our care, and the belief that any dog or cat that comes to our door, whatever the reason, should be safe, warm and well-fed.

Senior Management Team

(l-r) Jamie Simpson, Director of Operations, Lindsay Fyffe-Jardine, CEO, Ali Cotlman, Director of Finance and Nicola Gunn, Director of Development and External Affairs.

Edinburgh Dog and Cat Home’s Senior Management Team is responsible for the strategic direction of the Home and providing leadership to its 70-strong staff, across operations, retail, fundraising, communications, business support, finance and people management. Over the course of the organisation’s five year strategic plan, the Team has transformed the running of the Home, and created a vision for a charity that will thrive into the future, preserving its mission to rescue, reunite and rehome stray and unwanted pets in Edinburgh and the Lothians.

Kennel and Cattery

The kennel and cattery teams look after our dogs and cats day-to-day and are responsible for feeding, grooming, cleaning and enrichment.

The reception team are the first faces you will see when visiting the Home. They deal with all rehoming and boarding enquiries.

Operational Support

Operational support consists of our finance, volunteering and operations team, and help with the smooth running of the Home.

The fundraising team work with individuals, the community, businesses and Trusts to raise essential funds for the running of the Home.

The Communications team looks after the Home’s media, marketing, website, social media, advertising and education programme.
