Edinburgh Dog and Cat Home is seeking an exceptional individual to lead and develop corporate fundraising and events for the organisation.
Edinburgh Dog and Cat Home has a 134-year history of rescuing, reuniting and rehoming dogs and cats across Edinburgh and the Lothians. Receiving no government or lottery funding, the Home is reliant on fundraised and donated income to support its vital animal welfare work. The arrival of a new Chief Executive and Senior Management Team has seen the development of a 5-year strategic plan for the Home, with a view to becoming one of the leading animal welfare organisations in Scotland.
The successful candidate will be an experienced Corporate Fundraiser or someone currently working within the corporate world with a keen interest in the Third Sector. We are looking for someone with first class communication skills, able to pitch for support at all levels and build strong and meaningful relationships with our corporate partners, bringing a creative approach to their work. This post will also lead on the development of a calendar of corporate events including ‘In the Dog House’, corporate golf day and a charity ball, so a keen eye for detail and strong organisational skills are vital to this role.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an ambitious and passionate individual to develop their corporate fundraising skills in a dynamic team with a shared passion for dog and cat welfare. While the role will not involve direct contact with animals as part of your day-to-day work, a sympathy for Home’s animal welfare vision is desirable.
