14/02/2017

Edinburgh Dog and Cat Home's dedicated Director of Operations/Deputy CEO, Lindsay Fyffe Jardine, has been shortlisted for an Edinburgh Chamber of Commerce Young Leader of the Year award.

Lindsay was nominated for the award to highlight her exceptional leadership skills at the Home, having transformed its operational structure in recent years, implementing new health and safety and HR policies, and establishing new community partnerships and revenue streams.

Prior to her role at the Home, Lindsay held the position of Security Manager at Edinburgh Airport. Lindsay has grown her career through extensive past experience in both the humanitarian and animal welfare sector, having held the role of International Disaster Programme Manager at World Animal Protection (formerly WSPA). She has lead and co-ordinated disaster response operations in Haiti, Japan and Philippines while advocating for the importance of animal welfare at United Nations forums.

Lindsay joined the Home in August 2015 as Head of Operations, and in July 2016 was promoted to Director of Operations / Deputy to the CEO. This promotion recognised her significant responsibility for staff and contribution to leading the Home’s new strategic direction under a fresh Senior Management team.

All at the Home wish Lindsay the very best of luck at the award ceremony on 27 February.
