Forever Home for the Lovely Leo

08/02/2018

After almost 2 years in our care, the lovely Leo has finally found his forever home!

Our resident grumpy old man, Leo has gone to his forever home after almost 2 years of waiting for the right person to come along. All of the staff at the Home absolutely adore Leo and couldn’t be happier to see his little wiggly bum go off to his forever home.

Leo Leaving the Home

Leo is a 10-year-old lurcher and doesn’t get on well with other dogs. A lot of older dogs are unfortunately often overlooked in the Home. That paired with having to find Leo a Home where he could be the only pet meant his stay with us was a bit longer than average. He certainly didn't seem to mind though and was always happy to model for us in lots of photos.

We would like to say a special thank you to our Animal Champion, Micky Gavin, who met and fell in love with Leo on a visit to the Home and helped more people to hear about him by giving him a few shout outs on Forth1.

He’s been crowned the nation’s favourite breed and captured the heart of a celebrity, but a staffie called Star may also be the UK’s unluckiest dog.
