Festive opening hours


Edinburgh Dog and Cat Home will be closed to the public on 25 and 26 December, and 1 and 2 January. Our phone lines will not be monitored during this time. If you have lost a pet and are concerned it may have been brought to us please email us at info@edch.org.uk with your pets details including the date lost, description of your pet and area lost from. We will endeavour to get in touch with anyone concerned about a lost pet. All other emails will be answered when our offices open again to the public.

Opening hours Christmas eve (24 December) and Hogmanay (31 December) are 9am to 3pm.

We kindly request all boarding customers to have checked in or picked up their pets  by 2pm on 24 December and 31 December. Rehoming visits are welcomed between 10am and 2:30pm on these days.

All other days we are open as usual (9am - 4.30pm and 10am - 3.30pm for rehoming visits.) You can reach us on 0131 669 5331 during opening hours. 

Our charity shops in Stockbridge and Morningside will be closed on 24, 25 and 26 December, and 1 and 2 January.
