Paws by the Prom (Open Day)

When: Sunday 2 September, 12-4pm
Where: Edinburgh Dog and Cat Home, 26 Seafield Road East, EH15 1EH
Entry: FREE

Edinburgh Dog and Cat Home's Open Day has been the highlight of our events calendar for many years and this year it has had a little makeover to make it even bigger and better! Now called 'Paws by the Prom' we have a very exciting day in store for all the family.

Entry is free to all the family and you can visit between 12pm-4pm - although we advise you arrive early to take in all the day has to offer. Dogs on leads are always welcome and you will have the opportunity to stroll around our various zones;

Rehoming Zone - this zone will provide you with all the information you will need if you are considering rehoming a dog or a cat. You will be able to see many of our animals who are currently looking for a forever home and there will be an array of expert advice on hand on pet insurance, training, and other vital pet ownership information.

Learning Zone - come and learn about responsible pet ownership, pet first aid and other demonstrations designed to teach you something new about looking after your pet.

Fun Zone - lots of fun activities for both human and dog, from funfair stalls and tombolas to challenging your four-legged friend in the ever popular and hilarious 'temptation alley'.

Shopping Zone - we will have various retailers on hand with lots of excellent goods available for sale for both you and your furry friends.

Refueling Zone - after a busy day at Paws by the Prom you might just need time for a break, we will have our usual tea and coffee tent as well as various food vendors on hand to provide you with some delicious grub.

Kennel and Cattery tours - of course, it wouldn't be our Open Day without our famous kennel and cattery tours! You never know, you might just meet your new best friend.
