Join the staff and furry residents of Edinburgh Dog and Cat Home as we celebrate our 60th Anniversary at Seafield Road East. Our Open Day is a fun family day out with doggy demonstrations, seaside entertainment and animal stalls galore. You may event meet your new family member on one of our kennel or cattery tours.

  • Demonstrations and competitions from Midlothian Dog Training, Rhona Miekle, K9 First Aid and Scottish Kennel Club
  • Seaside fun and games: bouncy castle and giant slide, face-painting, funfair games and opportunity to meet our Mascot Hamish!

Edinburgh Dog and Cat Home have a small car park which will be restricted for blue badge holders or those with mobility issues. These spaces are available on a first come first serve basis, so please arrive early.

Further Information

Dogs welcome but must be kept on a lead at all times.
Please bring cash as there are no cash machines on site.
Catering providers are Scoff Foods, Bonnie Burrito, Meatissimo, Prague Shack and S Luca – there is plenty to choose from.
